Bremont Expands Supermarine S302 GMT Diver Collection

Three new additions to the specialised GMT diver line

Bremont has expanded its Supermarine S302 GMT collection with the introduction of two new standard-production models and a limited-edition version. These additions come under the leadership of the brand’s recently appointed CEO, Davide Cerrato.

Design and Features

The new Supermarine S302 GMT watches shift focus from being primarily dive watches with GMT functionality to GMT watches that also offer diver-level water resistance. This change is evident in the external rotating 24-hour bezels, replacing the diver-style bezel of the original model. The minute tracks are now printed along the rehauts. However, the bezels are unidirectional, which might be seen as a limitation for those who appreciated the original model’s dive watch capabilities.

Case and Proportions

The case design and proportions remain largely identical to the original model. Crafted from stainless steel, these watches feature Bremont’s signature three-piece Trip-Tick case design, domed anti-reflective sapphire crystals, signed screw-down crowns, and solid screw-down stainless steel casebacks engraved with a plane emblem. They offer 300 meters of water resistance and measure 40mm in diameter, 13mm in thickness, with 20mm lugs and an overall lug-to-lug profile of 49mm.

The New Supermarine S302 GMT Models

Supermarine S302 Specialised GMT Diver (Blue and Green): This version features a brushed and polished stainless steel case, a dark blue dial, and a split-color blue and green anodized aluminum bezel insert. It includes small bright orange highlights on the dial and the triangular tip of the 24-hour hand. This model is available with a stainless steel bracelet, a brown vintage-style leather strap, or a blue rubber strap.

Supermarine S302 GMT Jet: This model has a black DLC-coated case, a black dial, and a matching all-black ceramic bezel. The Super-LumiNova on the dial and hands offers a vintage-inspired beige hue in daylight, glowing blue and green in the dark. It is available with either a black rubber or leather strap.

Limited-Edition Supermarine Ocean: Produced in collaboration with marine biologist Ocean Ramsey, this model features brushed and polished stainless steel case components with a black DLC-coated middle case barrel. The dial and bezel are gray, and it is limited to 400 examples. It is available with a stainless steel bracelet, a brown leather strap, or a gray rubber strap.

Movement and Chronometer Rating

All three models are powered by the Caliber BE-93-2AV automatic GMT movement, running at 28,800vph (4 Hz) with a 50-hour power reserve. This movement is a modified version of the ETA 2893 and features a caller-style GMT functionality. While only the limited-edition Supermarine Ocean has “Chronometer” printed on its dial, all movements are chronometer rated to ISO 3159 standards.

Pricing

  • Standard-Production Blue and Green Model: £3,250 on a strap, £3,650 with a stainless steel bracelet.
  • S302 GMT Jet: £3,700
