Bremont is a British luxury watch brand founded in 2002 by brothers Nick and Giles English. The English brothers come from a family of aviators and share a passion for aviation history and engineering. Their brand is named after a French farmer who rescued them when they crashed their plane during a flying expedition in France.
The company initially began as a small operation based in Henley-on-Thames, England, where the brothers designed and assembled mechanical watches with a strong aviation focus. Bremont quickly gained a reputation for its distinctive design aesthetic, incorporating materials such as aviation-grade metals and incorporating aviation-inspired elements into their watch designs.
The company has expanded its product range to include a wide variety of watch styles and is also known for its partnerships with various branches of the military, including the British Army and Navy, as well as collaborations with brands such as Jaguar and Boeing.
The brand also began developing its own in-house movements, with the aim of bringing back as much of the process to the UK as possible. Located in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, the Bremont Manufacturing & Technology Centre (“The Wing”) launched in 2021.
“The Wing’ is a 35,000 sq ft purpose-built state-of-the-art mechanical watch manufacturing centre enabling the full machining and manufacturing of Bremont’s watches. The site has been transformed into an end-to-end mechanical watch manufacturing centre with CNC machining, finishing and assembly as well as an on-site boutique.
Bremont has become a respected name in the luxury watch industry, and the English brothers’ passion for aviation and engineering continues to inspire the brand’s innovative designs and craftsmanship.
