London-based watchmaker, Mr Jones Watches, has announced the addition of “Enjoy The Ride” to its permanent collection in collaboration with Belgian artist, Kristof Devos.
“Enjoy The Ride” isn’t entirely new to the market. Its initial release took place in June 2022, with a limited edition of 100 watches, selling out in less than 30 minutes.
Mr Jones Watches has already seen success with three previous collaborations with Devos. The artist’s previous designs, “A perfectly useless afternoon”, “A perfectly useless morning”, and “A perfectly useless evening” have enjoyed significant popularity.
“Enjoy The Ride” distinguishes itself with a dynamic ferris wheel feature. As time progresses, the ferris wheel rotates, serving as a whimsical reminder to appreciate the present moment. Each cart on the ferris wheel represents the passing seconds, ensuring constant movement. The watch is powered by an STP1-11 Swiss-made automatic movement, keeping the ferris wheel in motion.
Kristof Devos, the mind behind the design, is a Belgian illustrator and author, primarily known for his work on children’s picture books. His art, which spans themes from friendship to mortality, often exudes a unique blend of quirkiness and subtlety. Beyond his illustration work, Devos also occasionally steps onto the stage for public talks, discussing topics such as inspiration and the role of imagination.
Speaking about his design for “Enjoy The Ride”, Devos shares, “This watch encapsulates the essence of life’s fleeting nature, urging us to cherish every moment. The ferris wheel is a symbol of time’s relentless march; it’s a gentle nudge to let go of concerns and relish our current journey.”

We’re unashamedly biased when it comes to Mr Jones Watches. Their approach to watch design is completely unique, combining unexpected design collaborations with complications that merge the mechanics with the designer’s message. It’s great to see them bringing Enjoy the Ride to their permanent collection.
